2. What questions do you have that haven't been answered about the senior project? This can be about the senior project in general, any components or about a presentation topic or what they said.
- Do we choose our own components? If so, how do we choose them?
- When do we actually start the project because I know we have Model Assembly first semester.
- How many mentors should we have?
- Does it help if we know our mentor on a personal level?
3. What has the most important part of the senior project based on what you are seeing in the 2-hour presentations?
So far the most important part of the presentation is having a lot of information on the topic because the ones who were well-informed did the best. So believe just being very prepared and actually knowing the information and bein passionate about it.
4. What topic are you considering doing and why?
I'm torn between doing my project on firefighting or criminal profiling. I hope to be a firefighter but since I know it's extremely competitive I'm looking into law as well. I've always wanted to be a lawyer and most seniors say to choose a topic that can help me to pursue the career of my choice.
5. What do you plan to do for your summer mentor ship?
I'm a fire explorer and if I choose forefighting as my topic I plan to have one of my fellow explorers be my mentor because he's a wildland firefighter. I would go on ridealongs with him and they're weeks at a time fighting wild fires so I can get hours quickly but I love doing it. Over summer there are many wildland fires because the summer aids fires and the dead shrub provides fuel to the fire so they can get pretty crazy.
